Yieldtree gives investors access to institutional style asset backed loans
Philip and Paul, co-founders of Yieldtree, separately found the same problem – the asset backed loans that they wanted to personally invest into were inaccessible for direct deals. The only investments that were available were either unsecured SME loans with high default and loss rates, opaque structures with high fees, or co-mingled investments within a fund typically with a long lock-in period.
Together with Aura Group, an APAC-wide wealth management group, they set about solving this problem for investors, whilst simultaneously providing borrowers with a new source of funding. Yieldtree was established in 2020, to source, evaluate, fund, and ultimately syndicate asset backed loans to Wholesale and Accredited Investors.
